Registration

The registration of a TLD is an easy process and consists of four main steps:

  1. Search for an available TLD (also on www.tldhomepage.com)
  2. Fill out the registration form
  3. Create a user account and/or login
  4. Pay for the order

Search for an available TLD

You can find out if a TLD is still available for registration. There is a TLD search option on the home page and on the first page of the registration site. When you enter the name of the TLD, the responses will tell the story about the availability.

  • TLD is not available for registration
This means that the TLD is already registered. If this is the case, you can use the whois application, where you can find the details of the TLD; such as the status, the description and the contact details. In some cases the TLD holder might have hidden his/her contact information. If you want to contact such a registrant, please contact us and we will relay your request to the TLD holder.
  • The TLD specified is not conform the technical requirements
This means that you have entered a name that does not comply with the TLD requirements. See the Terms&Conditions for the details.
  • TLD is available for registration
The TLD is free to be registered. You will be offered the option to start the actual registration process.

Fill out the registration form

The registration form defines the name of the TLD, it's intended use and the registration period.

  • If you choose to register a corporate TLD, you will be asked later for the corporate details as the Chamber of Commerce number and VAT number.
  • The description is to identify the intended use of the TLD
  • You can select to register the TLD for a period of 1, 2, 5 or 10 years.
  • You have to read and accept the Terms&Conditions of UnifiedRoot before you can continue.

Create a user account and/or login

To register a TLD, you'll need an account with your personal information. If you already have an account with UnifiedRoot, you can login to this account and continue to the payment section. If you have no account yet, you will have to create a new account. The form to create this account defines all your personal information needed. We advise you to make a hard copy of this page, to have your details available at all times (although we will also send you a message with this information when the account has been created).

  • The user name and password you enter on the first lines, are necessary to logon to the customercare pages (via the members section).
  • The hint question & answer are of crucial importance in case you will loose your password.
  • The email address is important to be correct, as the system uses this to send you the information of the account and later of the order and TLD.
  • The last field above the corporate information section, determines if you will have your -personal- information made publicly accessible on the internet through the whois application. If a visitor wants to know who the holder of a registered TLD is, he/she can search for this information in the Whois, but only if the holder of the TLD has made his/her information availabe. If you do not want your information to be available for third parties, make sure this field is unchecked.
  • If you want to register a corporate TLD you will have to fill in all the last three fields. Note that the registration of a corporate TLD will fail if this information is not available!
